On 6th of August 2018, Indian Institutes of Management announced CAT 2018 Notification to declare CAT exam dates and other relevant details.
According to the CAT 2018 Notification, the registration for CAT will start from 8th August 2018 with the last date to apply to be 19th September 2018. The CAT exam date is set to take place on 5th November 2018.
This time CAT 2×018 exam will be conducted by IIM Calcutta for all across IIMs and Non-IIM institutions. In more than 140 cities CAT 2018 exam will be conducted.
In short, it is now the time for the aspirants to buckle up and start their application process for the much awaited CAT 2018 MBA entrance exam. The bugle for competition has already been blown.
Each year more than 2 lakhs aspirants apply for the CAT exam, and the applicants are increasing by the year. Therefore, the competition level will be extremely high to fight for a few thousand seats at IIMs and other coveted MBA schools.

CAT 2018 Important Dates
- The start date for CAT 2018 Online Application: 8th August 2018
- Last date: 19th September 2018
- Admit card available for download: 24th October 2018
- CAT 2018 Exam date: 25th November 2018 (Sunday)

Eligibility Criteria of CAT 2018
The eligibility criteria for CAT 2018 exam remains unchanged including relaxation to reserved categories.
- Minimum 50 percent marks in Bachelor’s Degree (45 percent for SC, ST, and PwD categories)
- Aspirants in the final year of their Bachelor’s Degree are also eligible provided their prove their eligibility with minimum 50 percent marks (45% for reserved categories) within the stipulated time.
- In the case of CGPA or grades, then it will be counted on the basis of percentage of marks conversion by your university/institution.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus for CAT 2018
Following is the CAT 2018 syllabus and exam pattern:

Following is give the step-by-step process for the admission process to IIMs:
- Apply for CAT
- Appear for CAT 2018 exam
- Wait for results
- After results check for cut-offs for all IIMs
- Apply to IIMs, where you meet the cut-off
- You will be called for the Second round
- Appear for the 2nd round of Written Exam
- If you qualify 2nd round then you will be called for the 3rd round
- Appear for the 3rd round of Group Discussion and Personal Interview
- Results will be notified on respective IIM website

- Pay your admission fee and confirm your admission
