Though there are few options for boys.
The best thing about Hudson Line is that it has excellent connectivity, Kingsway Camp market, endless food outlet options, and lot of coaching institutes around.

2. Outram Line
Outram Line is just across road to Hudson Line. Therefore, same advantages apply here as well.
But want differentiates this place is that it offers peaceful society, and variety of options.
You could also rent a flat in Outram Line with your friends in the range of Rs. 12,000 to 28,000 per month. Also there are lot of cheaper options available in PGs for both boys and girls.
Apart from that, you get easier connectivity to Mukherjee Nagar and GTB Nagar, where almost all big names in coaching institutes are situated.

3. Vijay Nagar
Vijay Nagar is the place, where students from Delhi University mostly lives. That only because, you easily get cheaper options in independent flats here, and it is comparatively near to Delhi University.
Otherwise, there’s no special advantage of living here.
Vijay Nagar is divided into two parts – single and double storey. The single storey is more expensive than double storey.
If you’re quite low on budget then you could also opt for Patel Chest, where you will easily find small rooms for as low as Rs. 1,500 per month.
Therefore, most students prefer to live here. Also, you get to rent a flat in Vijay Nagar.

4. Mukherjee Nagar
If you are preparing for any competitive exams and planning to enroll in a coaching institute, then Mukherjee Nagar could the best option available.
Mukherjee Nagar is filled with innumerable coaching institutes. Also, there are lot PGs are around, therefore students love to live here.
Nevertheless, Mukherjee Nagar can be a lot expensive. Also, there aren’t much option available in terms of independent flats.
Indira Vihar is just next to Mukherjee Nagar, here you could find different variety of options. However, the rent rates are almost same as Mukherjee Nagar.

5. Gandhi Vihar
If you are looking for cheaper option and independence, then Gandhi Vihar is better option than Mukherjee Nagar.
As society is filled with students all around. Moreover, crowd is up till late night therefore safety not a big concern here.
But you will have to compromise on parking space, cleanliness and other public services.
Apart from that, you get everything here from small eating joints, fruit and vegetable sellers to small private libraries. Also, you will easily find all important products that a student requires for example, books, stationary etc.

Gurmandi is attached to Vijay Nagar, here you could find lot of cheap options. However, you will have to compromise on parking space, cleanliness, locality and commutation facilities.
There are mostly affordable and small rooms available starting from Rs. 1,500 per month.
You could easily find an independent flat or room in Gurmandi. Also, you have PG option here. In any case, don’t expect good service.
We would recommend this locality to students, who are low on budget and want to save money.

Following places are recommended to those students, who wants to live near DU South Campus:
Delhi has lot of villages, who have turned into an urban locality. However, the infrastructure, locality and lifestyle remains the same.
Munirka is also one of the Delhi’s villages, which is located in the heart of South Delhi. It has JNU, Green Park, Vasant Vihar and Hauz Khas in vicinity.
If you’re pursuing your degree course from one of the South Campus college or JNU, then you won’t find better place than Munirka.
You will lot of cheap and affordable housing options here in Munirka. However, it is village you may have to deal with society for your lifestyle.

8. Greater Kailash
Greater Kailash up market posh colony that offer mid to high range options. If you have good enough budget, and ready to afford an expensive flat then GK should be on your list.
There are lot of institutes and colleges in and around Greater Kailash. For a student living here could be expensive, but the quality lifestyle is unmatched.
Moreover, the sprawling market and food joints around GK are amazing. You could also enjoy night near you in Hauz Khas. Also, metro, bus, and airport connectivity is excellent.
There are options in PG and independent flats. The monthly cost of renting a flat here could easily go up to Rs. 50,000 here.

9. Vasant Vihar
Vasant Vihar is right next to Greater Kailash colony. It is also a posh locality that offers variety of options in independent flats, floors, rooms and PGs.
You will find comparatively cheaper options here than GK. As often rates for PG starts from Rs. 5,000 and for independent rooms rates start from 8,000.
The nearest metro station to Vasant Vihar is situated in Hauz Khas. Also, the markets around, greenery, spacious roads, parking space, and public services are easily available here.
But this place is only recommended to those students who want to reside in South Delhi, and effectively afford expensive lifestyle.

Following places are recommended to those students, who wants to live in West Delhi:
10. Rajouri Garden
Rajouri Garden is one of the semi-posh colonies in India that has luxury of metro station and large shopping malls.
You get lot of options here for outing from cinema halls, large markets, shopping malls to local food joints and recreational centers.
There are lot of coaching institutes as well nearby. Apart from that, two large Delhi University colleges – Rajdhani college and Shivaji college.
Here you will find from large spacious but expensive flats to small rooms and PGs. You just need to decide your budget you will find your option here.
Tagore Garden is next to Rajouri Garden. In Tagore Garden you will find lot of cheap options.

Vikaspuri is large enough, which attached to Tilak Nagar. The roads and houses here are spacious. Also the neighborhood is quite friendly.
Again there are coaching institutes in Vikaspuri as well. If you are study in any one of them then you could opt for Vikaspuri.
There are some PG options available in Vikaspuri for both boys and girls. Apart from PG you can also rent a floor or flat here with your friends. People are open minded here, and often are non-interfering.
The connectivity through metro, bus and auto is excellent. Moreover, market in and around Vikaspuri are quite vibrant.
Rs. 3,500 to 20,000 per month
Janakpuri is a hub for office space, startups, businesses, and IT service companies. Apart from that there are lot of coaching institutes, schools and colleges.
This place can easily be categorized posh only because of the upmarket colony and high rates of properties here.
Janakpuri has its own metro station, and connectivity through bus is also easy. Moreover, auto-rickshaws are easily available here.
There are few options in PGs that good enough. However, you could easily rent a flat or floor here with your friends. The rent range for a flat or floor is the mid-level starting from Rs 12,000 per month.
If you could afford then you should opt for Janakpuri.

13. Preet Vihar
Preet Vihar is a bustling colony that offers easier connectivity through metro. Apart from that, you also have lot of coaching institutes in and around it.
The shopping place in Preet Vihar is cluttered and also offer high end to low end shopping experience. Moreover, there are recreational facilities such as gyms, parks etc.
There are options available for PGs and independent flats. However, there are noisy to peaceful localities around Preet Vihar. Therefore, you have to choose accordingly.

14. Laxmi Nagar
Laxmi Nagar is almost brimming with innumerable coaching institutes, offices and shops. Also, the locality is always up with crowd and noise all around during the day.
If you happen to take classes in any coaching institute in Laxmi Nagar, then you could search for accommodation here.
However, noisy locality will always be a concern here. Apart from that, PGs, rooms and flats are available in affordable range.
As lot of students are living all around, so won’t face much challenge in living here.
Above all, Laxmi Nagar has its own metro station as well.

15. Priyadarshini Vihar
Priyadarshini is right next to Laxmi Nagar, that also has metro connectivity. There coaching institutes here as well. Therefore, lot of students opt this place to live.
However, searching for a flat can be a challenge as rent rates are high. Though there are PGs available in Priyadarshini Vihar that too are limited.
The locality is green and somewhat peaceful. Also the neighborhood is upmarket and friendly. Also the markets are not much vibrant. Though there are few good eating joints and restaurants.
Overall, Priyadarshini Vihar should be opted by someone, who has high budget.
