Indian Railway is conducting world’s largest online test for 18,252 job posts.
These job posts belong to Graduate-level Group 3 posts that includes:
- Assistant Station Master
- Goods Guard
- Inquiry-cum-Reservation Clerk
- Traffic and Commercial Apprentices
- Junior Accounts Assistants
The online test aims to curb malpractices in recruitment drive and exams.
There had been question paper leaks in Indian railways entrance exams before. This another reason to introduce online test in Indian railways recruitment exams.
Online test for recruitment will ensure complete transparency. Also optimize delivery of recruitment test and efficiency in handling it.
This time, more than 92 lakh candidates had applied for the job. Only 2.72 lakh cleared through prelims, and eventually called for written test on 17th and 19th January.
The final stage for selection is already on for Indian Railways. At present, Indian Railways have 13 lakh employees and there are 2 lakh job posts lying vacant.
In the next recruitment drive, there will be 20,000 more job posts by Indian Railways. That will include job posts of Assistant Locomotive Pilots, and Technical Supervisor.
